We take a look ahead to this weekend’s sporting events and look to find some significant value on underdogs and plus money bets to be made in the markets.

Spanish La Liga

Celta Vigo vs. Valencia

Saturday, September 19th, 2020 – Kick Off 3pm EST at Estadio De Balaidos

We are already into game week number two in the Spanish La Liga and we have a very intriguing matchup between Celta Vigo and Valencia. The latter must travel all the way across the country to play this match. Vigo started the campaign with a 0-0 draw away to Eibar, whilst Valencia was involved in the highest scoring game of round 1. They came out with the win in a 4-2 thriller against Local rivals Levante.

Valencia did look weak at the back in their first game, whilst Vigo did struggle going forward. I feel Vigo’s defence should be able to keep Valencia to no more than one goal and at the other end I expect them to get on the score sheet against this Valencia defence. 31% of these teams’ games finished in a draw last season, meaning we should see around +220 for a draw this weekend. Intertops are offering the best lines on the draw at +240 at the time of writing. I am predicting a 1-1 score line, which can be bet at +525 with BetOnline.

Best Bet: Back the draw at +240 with Intertops (1Unit)

NFL

Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sunday, September 20th, 2020 – Kick Off 1pm EST at Raymond Jones Stadium

0-1 Carolina Panthers take on the 0-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South this Sunday. Both teams got off to a losing start in week 1 and one of these two will be sitting with a 1-1 record heading into week 3. A lot of people have high hopes for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers this season, and yes, they should improve as the season progresses. Right now, they are very beatable. With that being said, their opponents this week didn’t exactly set the league on fire last weekend either, but one man did. Christian McCaffrey. Without doubt he is one of the best running backs in the league right now (many rankings have him as number 1) and last weekend he put up 96 yards on 23 attempts for 2 touchdowns.

The Buccaneers defensive as a whole is In decline in my opinion, and the same goes for their D-line, last weekend they did give up a respectable 2.4 yards per rush against the New Orleans saints. I feel this weekend will be a different ball game. The Panthers should look to pound the running game with McCaffrey, especially if Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater gets

off to a shacky start. My NFL pick on this game is McCaffrey to have over 85 rushing yards at +118, these odds are only available with BetOnline. The running back from Colorado has had 85 or more rushing yards in 7 out of his previous 10 games.

Best Bet: Christian McCaffrey over 85 rushing yards at +118 with BetOnline (1Unit)

Over 85 R.Y.+118

English Premier League

Southampton vs. Tottenham

Sunday, September 20th, 2020 – Kick Off 7.30am EST at St Marys Stadium

Southampton got off to a rough start to their Premier League campaign with an away loss to Crystal place. Tottenham also lost on the opening day to Everton. In Tottenham’s case they looked bland and showed nothing going forward, Southampton didn’t play very well but should have earned themselves a point at the very least, they created a few dangerous attacking opportunities and only for Crystal Palace’s goalkeeper (Vicente Guaita) was on fire, they would have scored. He earned the man of the match award with five saves.

I love this spot for Southampton this weekend as home underdogs to Tottenham. You would have to be crazy to bet them as away favorites in this weekend’s matchup. I believe we will see some goals in this game, and I think BetOnline’s betting market on Southampton to win and over 2.5 goals at +375 is super value. I have this game down as a 2-1 win for the home underdogs. Tottenham should show a little more going forward and I expect them to get on the score sheet. I think Southampton will cause Tottenham lots of issue’s defensively, especially with the goal tret of attacker Danny Ings.

My second selection for this game is Ings to have more shots on goal than Harry Kane. Jose Mourinho has not been able to get the best out of Kane since his arrival as manager in November 2019. Ings managed to take a total of 3 shots last weekend in Southampton’s defeat, compared to Kane’s 2 in Tottenham’s loss. I expect something similar on Sunday as I see Southampton looking the more dangerous going forward. Finally, Ings is Southampton’s target man and main goal tret, whilst Kane has been sharing that responsibility with Son Heung-Min.

Best Bet: Danny Ings to have more shots than Harry Kane at +110 with BetOnline (1Unit)

Side Bet: Southampton to win and over 2.5 goals at +375 with BetOnline (1Unit)
