Italy fans to jet in
Italy have been given special permission to jet in 1,000 extra fans for Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against England at Wembley.
Italy had already been allocated 6,500 tickets by UEFA for fans living in the UK.
And now Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri will be boosted by 1,000 more supporters, who will fly in from Italy on Sunday.
The UK Government is allowing the Italian FA to bring the extra fans in on charter flights from Rome and Milan, provided they meet several stringent criteria.
All fans must show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of flying, complete a passenger locator form and return home within 12 hours of arriving.
They will remain in their own bubble and will have dedicated transport to and from Wembley.
The supporters will sit in their own section at Wembley to maintain the integrity of their bubble.
The fans must also show proof of another negative PCR test taken tomorrow to be allowed back into Italy.
They will then have to quarantine for five days back in Italy before taking a final PCR test.
These Azzurri followers must pay over £600 to see if their side can win their first Euro since 1968 and the charter trip costs £525 and the match ticket £80.
