The UFC is one of the few sporting events that go ahead this weekend in Brasilia. Dana White got his way, as usual, but had to settle for it happening behind closed doors. Nevertheless there’s a sporting event to watch, so we are all over it.
Lee missed weight – again – which makes this a tricky fight to call.
In fairness, we’ve all been there, tipping the scales in the wrong direction. Even Oliveira has done it before so the bout is now a catch weight, with Oliveira taking some of Lee’s purse home – every cloud, Charles.

Don’t be fooled by Lee missing weight, it’s no indication of how dangerous he’ll be and definitely is the superior athlete. Oliveira has excellent submission skills and much improved striking, however while Lee may not be looking for takedowns on Oliveira, he is an excellent grappler and can do damage if he gets on top.
I’m tempted to go with Lee but I think Oliveira is going to be up for this big time and I think the value bet is for it to go over 2 rounds at 5/6. If you are looking for a bit more value, our traders do have a WhatoddsPaddy special of Kevin Lee to win and call out McGregor at 5/1. He has name checked him before and everyone wants the money shot.
Bet: Fight to start round 3 (Yes) @ 5/6
Maia has lost me plenty of money over the years so it’s very hard to back against him. He always looks slow, technically not gifted on the feet but then he gets you to the ground and he finds a way. His ground game is the best around and he has schooled many gifted grapplers.
However, he’s long in the tooth and Burns is a talented grappler himself. I think he might just have enough to survive any of Maia’s submission attempts (and this involves a solid round defending on the ground) and land more strikes when he’s on the feet.
Bet: Gilbert Burns to win by decision @ 6/4

Don’t miss the start of this bout because it’s going to be crazy. Johnny Walker launched himself onto the UFC scene with three first round KO’s and clocking up a total of 168 seconds of action. He’s coming off his first loss so will be hungry to get back to winning ways.
After a move to MMA giants Tristar following his first UFC loss, can light heavyweights funky finisher, Johnny Walker, get back to winning ways against Nikita Krylov this weekend? He’s on home turf and will be looking to showcase that all new Tristar cerebral nature and skillset. pic.twitter.com/eUprfj1Ccg

Nikki Thrillz is the smaller man by three inches and less explosive but is tough as nails. He’ll want to survive the Johnny Walker craziness of the first round and turn this into a war, hoping to outdo Walker by volume and strikes.
My head says take Walker by KO but my heart says get on a first round crazy Johnny knockout. There’s going to be fireworks.
Bet: Johnny Walker to win by first round KO @ 12/5
