April 9-13: Italian Poker Open XVIII
The 18th edition of Titanbet-sponsored Italian Poker Open is set to bring some intense poker action to the Casino Campione in Campione d’Italia, the charming Italian enclave within the Swiss canton of Ticino.
Running from Thursday, April 9 to Monday, April 13, the IPO features a €550 Main Event with a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool. What’s even better, is that the winner of the event is sure to walk away with a €125,000 cash prize and a ticket to play at the World Series of Poker Main Event this summer.
Around since 2011, the IPO moved from being a relatively small gathering of Italian players to a solid international reality. The 17th edition, which was played in January 2015, attracted a 1,411-player field with players primarily from Italy, Switzerland, France, and Germany.
Besides the €500,000guaranteed Main Event, the IPO XVIII offers a number of side events and promises great action at the cash-game tables from early afternoon until late at night.

April 17-20: World Poker Tour National Venice
There aren’t many places in the world as beautiful as Venice during spring. If you need an excuse to pay a visit to one of the most picturesque and romantic cities ever built, have a look at Italy’s upcoming World Poker Tour National event.
To be held at the stunning Ca’Vendramin Calergi Casino, located only a stone’s throw from imaginative locations such as the St. Mark’s Square or the Grand Canal, the WPTN Venice offers an action-packed calendar highlighted by a four-day €990 Main Event and a two-day €500 Big Stack event.
Considered to be one of the most important poker events in the country, especially now that the EPT decided not to include an Italian location on its schedule, the WPTN is sure to see some of Italy’s best poker players at its tables.
Among the big names who have already confirmed attendance are the five champion members of the Team Italy from the Global Poker Masters, Dario Sammartino, Rocco Palumbo, Andrea Dato, Mustapha Kanit, and Giuliano Bendinelli. During the event, the players will be celebrated for their victory at the GPM and will participate in some special GPM-themed promotions planned by the organizers.
